A short drive brings you to Mount Kenya located at zero degree latitude on the
Equator. The entire mountain above 9500 feet forms the Mount Kenya National Park
and is a World Heritage Site. The Mount Kenya Safari Club located near the lower
slopes of the mountain has various facilities for its guests including a tennis
court, golf course, horse riding and swimming pool. The children may enjoy an
optional visit to the Animal Orphanage located on the Club's grounds and the
director of which is the actress, Stephanie Powers. Alternatively, spend the day
relaxing and enjoying the surrounding beauty.

Night time temperatures tend to be cool so warm sweaters are recommended. For
children, an early dinner is routinely arranged in a separate dining room (check
with Reception for details), and they will be able to watch a video with other
children in a small lounge while the adults enjoy a quiet dinner together.
