Camping on Chogoria Route, Mt Kenya. Climbing conditions on Mount Kenya depend mainly on the rain season and to an extent on the position of the sun. Traditionally, the dry periods were normally considered to be between mid-December to mid-March, and July to October. However, due to climatic changes in recent years, different routes are considered to be in condition at different times of the year.
