Located on an expanse of beach wilderness on the northern tip of Zanzibar and protected by a coral reef, Ras Nungwi Beach Hotel is a good location for watersport.

The hotel has 25 Ivory Class rooms which are composed of "chalet" rooms (with panoramic sea view) or "lodge" rooms which are slightly further from the beach. Four new "superior chalet" rooms have recently been added (a better choice for honeymooners). The rooms are furnished with handcrafted four poster beds and are en-suite with ceiling fans and balcony frontage.
The hotel's Zanzibarian chefs are renowned for preparing sumptuous seafood buffets and spicy island fare which can range from calamari and coconut curries to freshly grilled line fish.
The proximity and variety of the surrounding reefs makes Ras Nungwi the perfect diving destination, and the hotel has an on-site equipped dive center, providing international PADI standards.
