Tanzania
In the untouched seclusion of a remote valley in the western corridor of the Serengeti, this splendid tented camp overlooks a bywater of the Grumeti River where wildebeest plunge through the waters, running the gauntlet of gigantic crocodiles, on their annual migration. At Grumeti, hippos greet you through the watery carpet of lilies and the spectacular pied coats of Colobus monkeys flash through the bird-filled riverine trees. Even at night, the wild pulse of Africa is mesmerizing, when the nocturnal orchestra of owls, bats and galagos is punctuated by the primeval sounds of lion and hyena. This is truly the Africa of your wildest dreams.
