To Whom it may concern: REF:TRADE IN IVORY I am very concerned about the elephant and the increase in poaching during the past few years - since the ban on Ivory Trade was relaxed. During the recent CITES meeting at the United Nations Complex, Nairobi, Kenya ( April 2000), our government representatives did not make a FIRM stand in supporting the proposal to re-transfer all elephant populations back to the Appendix I. Given our country's international leadership role, we bear responsibility for the inevitable slaughter and depriving the generations to come, from experiencing this majestic animal in the wild. Please note that I would like to see all trade in elephant ivory made illegal. Sincerely yours,
