Ivory Safaris have set up their International Reservations Office in Redmond, Washington, a charming city near Seattle. From this new office, the firm will continue to offer photo and customized safaris for individuals, families and small groups, as they have been doing for over 25 years. For the period 2001/2002, Ivory Photo Safaris will be featuring on the internet, and through the Redmond office, numerous safari modules covering Kenya, Tanzania and the Indian Ocean Islands. This innovative introduction is expected to carry high appeal to the increasing numbers of Independent Travelers who spend considerable time in researching destinations.
Ivory Safaris and Ivory Photo Safaris are licensed by the Kenya Ministry of Tourism and the Washington State respectively to carry out the Business of Travel. The firms are also self-regulated as members of Travel Professional Associations that include the Kenya Association of Tour Operators (KATO), the African Travel Association (ATA), American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA), Association for Promotion of Travel to Africa (APTA), and the Society for Advancement of Travel for the Handicapped (SATH).
